We’re a vendor at Unique LA!

So excited to announce that R.pellicer will be a vendor at this year’s Unique LA Spring 2012 Show at the California Mart. I went to the Love Event in February and was blown away at all the awesome vendors and was eager to join. I’ll be making some special items for this event so be sure to attend.

Color Block Tote Shopper

On sale now is my newest handmade creation, a color block tote shopper, made-to-order. Not much to say but it’s a must have carry-all! Best of all it comes with a free matching wallet! Check it out now on my Etsy shop.

Recycled Jersey Woven Clutch

I’ve added a new item to my Etsy store. It’s hand made using recycled woven jersey cotton fabric to make this really colorful and textured material. I then took it and made it into a casual and funky clutch bag.

R.pellicer Suede Clutches

When I saw this purple leather, I couldn’t resist buying it to make some minimalist unlined clutch bags. This particular style is even large enough to fit an iPad inside or your essentials for a night out. Available now at my Etsy shop.

This clutch was inspired by my current color block obsession. On sale at my Etsy shop.

More to come!

R.pellicer + 2012 = ?

My apologies for my silence into the new year. I’ve been designing and brainstorming strategies for new product this year. I’m actually out of the country as I write this entry, in search of new inspiration and product sourcing from my homeland, the Philippines. I don’t want to give too many details about the next line of bags I’m making, but let’s just say leather is in the works.

I’m also excited to bring home some amazing handmade Filipino crafts for my markets this spring like woven straw tote bags, straw clutches, hand-loom textiles, acacia wood home decor, capiz shell decor, jewelry and much more.

I have also yet to launch the next Artist Series bag, featuring my good friend Jessica Lee of Daxis Design, whoalready created an Artist Series Laguna bag for us last year. It’s all my fault I haven’t added it to the store, but I will as soon as I return home from the motherland. In the meantime, I’ve attached a photo of the design she created.

Hope everyones 2012 is going well. January has flown by and soon it will be Valentine’s day! Speaking of which I’ll be at my usual booth at the Silverlake Art Craft & Vintage, Sat. Feb 11th. This time I’m sharing my space with a friend who’s premiering her plush toy creations which are absolutely amazing, so make sure to stop by and visit us.

Adios Muchachos!

This is a handmade jewelry frame I make from crown moulding scraps. I thought it was the simplest way to make a nice display for my jewelry that is normally thrown into a drawer.

Orbs are a great way to inexpensively fill space on tables for your special event. Orb centerpieces can be arranged in many ways and levels. You can insert flowers/buds, lights, etc… in the orbs to create multiple textures and arrangements. Try stacking multiple colors in clear cylinders or hang a group of them to create an eye-catching pendants. Sure you can make these yourself, but who has the time? I do!
